Astrology Review ~ Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010

It's an all day Virgo moon today. There is much we can accomplish today. Organization is the key. If you have an overstuffed closet, an unbearably disorganized home office or a few pets who could use a bath, the Virgo moon is supporting your ability to be of service. The Virgin is quite adept at seeing the flaws in any environment. Skilled at problem solving, analyzing and perfecting, this Mercury-ruled sign has an attention to detail that is unrivaled.

Of course, there is a downside ~ and that is criticism. Seeing the flaws can be a gift that allows us to improve the aspects of daily living, such as our health, our routines, our work. Unfortunately, there can be a rather harsh downside to all of this. And that would be an endless stream of nit-picking and perfectionism aimed at eliminating everything perceived as imperfect. This can be annoying to the recipient at the very least. At worst, this sort of extreme fault-finding can lead to things such as distorted views of self and a feeling that one can never be good enough. So give yourself and others a break by tuning into the Sagittarian Sun's ability to see the bigger picture, the overall view. Otherwise, you may get so bogged down in the details that you lose sight of the overall plan, not to mention driving those around you crazy, or worse, degrading them with a never-ending quest for perfection.

I am certain that communications will be highlighted today, as Mercury, the communication planet is having dialouge with 7 other planets today. Our minds will be active. The effect of this can vary depending on your own personal astrology today, but suffice it to say, there are many opportunities available. This could be a great day to have a chat with siblings, get to know your neighbor or simply smooth out some rough edges in your conversations with others. In any case, this seems like a day of action. A good day to get some things accomplished.

Just to give everyone a sort of preview...Mercury will be taking it's timely retrograde in a less than 2 weeks. I believe it is Dec. 9 that Mercury slows to a crawl and begins it's tri-annual review (more on this later). The reason I am telling you this now, is so that you might put the Virgo moon to good use today and tomorrow and get a few things in order. During a Mercury retrograde, there are some rather typical breakdowns that seem to occur with irrefutable frequency. Automobile breakdowns, computer crashes, banking errors and outright communcation breakdowns are a few of the possibilities. So, if there's a rattle in your car, a tire that looks like it needs replacing, an important contract to sign or short travel that needs to be done ~ it might be good to wrap it all up in the next few weeks. Oh, and back up your important computer files. Again, more on this next week.

Okay. I think that does it for today.

I've got some packing and organizing to do..and yes, I plan to give my dogs a bath and a little extra TLC today (all 4 of them). I am looking forward to getting to it.

Until tomorrow, make it all happen!

Happy Thanksgiving ~ Thank You

Aloha,

Short and simple.

Gratitude is the theme of the day. So, I would like to thank all of you for being you, for what you do and how you do it. Thank you for your contributon to humanity and the animal kingdom.

Life is truly what we make it. Today, we will all have the opportunity to practice kindness with others, but especially with ourselves ~ as we seek to find comfort, joy and peace. Though many adjustments may be a necessary aspect to this day, they are all part of this fabulous journey we call life.

Thank you for sharing your unique and special gifts with the world ~ your longings, your yearnings, your pain and your loneliness. Your hopes, dreams and wishes and all your silly ideas. Thank you for sharing the sound of your laugh and the sound of your cry. For sharing with us your joy, your love, your human-ness. Thank you for your sweet and tender hugs and that very special gleem that is unique to just your eyes only. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and truth. For it is your very true and authentic essence that color and season the elixir of life for all to drink. Don't change a thing.

Thank you ~ for being you in this very moment, in your own special way. For the way you smile, the way your voice sounds, the way you walk. Thank you for all of your lovely quirks and eccentricties and for helping those in your life to grow. Please don't change a thing.

I am grateful for it all ~ the whole thing, and today ~ I will not try to change a thing...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Much love and peace to you all.

Sincerely,
Dawn Elizabeth

Astrology for Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010

Aloha,

Please bear with me, as it is a longer report than usual today. I hope you will read all the way to the end. Think of it as soul food, and we could all use a healthy serving!

So, did you all make it through Tuesday! Wow! Pluto (power, power struggles) was really giving us a ride for our money. If you didn't experience the discord directly, you may have witnessed it in others. And, yes, it was waaaaay over the top. Way over the top! Knowing the energies that the day had in store, I was still shocked by the seriousness of blatent displays of ego, will and destructive and manipulative power struggles I saw. I witnessed a little person being bullied and strong-armed by an adult who should have known better. I could not help but intefere. After all, just as Hillary Clinton says, "it takes a village." Though it's often best to mind your own business, few of us would have stood by and done nothing. The energies were so powerful on Tuesday, the earth even shook with a 4.6 earthquake here on Maui!

For Wednesay, things seem to settle down a bit, but mostly because we may feel a little detached emotionally. Unfortunately, we may also feel a little lonely, melancholy and blue. It's probably worse than it really seems (thanks to the Moon ~ feelings, in challenging aspect to Saturn ~ limitations, barriers). Some may be licking their emotional wounds from Tuesday, or offering solice to those who may have suffered the most.

Today is a day to offer our unconditional love to those around us, in the true spiritual principal of the Cancer moon. Rather than tune into the feelings of insecurity, worry and issues of control, I am hoping that we can all find our inner mother, and demonstrate random acts of kindness, gentleness and loving support to everyone in our world today. If we band together and make a pact, maybe we can actually outsmart the planets and transmute the tense energies handed to us yet again, and perform a little alchemy turning sour lemons into something sweet and delicious, turning sad faces into gleeming smiles ~ turning disease and illness into radiant health!

I think it's worth a try. In the spirit of gratitude in this season of Thanksgiving, it is truly time to count our blessings and offer support to those in need. If you must give into the Mars (desire), Jupiter (expansion) squabble, spoiling to go "over the top," let's aim our arrows high and shoot for compassion and be in the true spirit of giving. And, allow yourself to receive. It may just make someones day.

At the risk of sounding a little hokey and mushy, let's dare to see how many smiles we can bring to the people around us today, especially to the ones who seem to annoy us the most. We can never truly pretend to know what makes some people so mean, so hateful. What might they have experienced in their lifetimes to make them so hardened, so closed off? Let's put that cliche "love heals all wounds" to the test, and see if it holds up.

Okay, my friends, hold onto your hats, take another deep breath and make the most of the day! I know we can do it! It's going to be crowded out there today, with last minute shopping for Thursday's feast. People may be on edge, stressed out. Mars (ego) and Mercury (communications) are still neck and neck. It's hard to hold back. If we lash out at others, all parties are wounded. The holidays are very lonely times for many people. We live in a world where families are spread out and separated from eachother.

I learned today, on top of everything else, that my mother was taken to the hospital. She is 5000 miles away. She will spend the holiday in what I hope to be the good graces of kind and loving strangers, the very kind I encourage all of us to be today, and especially through the holidays (please send your prayers, love and light).

You never know whose mother, brother, sister, son or daughter we are giving our unconditional kindness to. And we can only hope that someone is doing the same for our loved ones. Let's get out there are support eachother, until there is so much love and so much light everywhere that we can cause a spontaneous combustion of world peace and love!

Sound crazy? Just read the words of the late John Lennon, and Imagine keeping his dream alive!

Imagine there's no heaven...
It easy if you try...
No hell below us...
Above us only sky...
Imagine all the people...
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries...
It isn't hard to do...
Nothing to kill or die for...
Aand no religion, too...
Imagine all the people...
Living life in Peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer...
But I'm not the only one...
I hope someday...
You'll join us...
And the world will live as one.

Imagone no posessions...
I wonder if you can...
No need fro greed or hunger...
A brotherhood of man...
Imagine all the people...
Sharing all the world...

You may say i'm a dreamer...
But I'm not the only one...
I hope someday you'll join us...
And the wrold can live as one.

Astrology for Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010

The Sagittarius Sun burns ever so brilliantly, shining light back on our sense of faith, philosophy and good fortune. We sure will need it, too ~ since today, the Gemini Moon makes many uncomfortable and tense connections with several planets. And sometime around dinner, the moon will swim into moody Cancer, where it will remain for the next two and a half days. Cancer is the sign of the mother, nurturer, healer and caretaker. The shadow side of the Crab is full of worry, insecurity and emotional dependency, to name a few (more on that tomorrow). The choice is always ours.

To begin with, the conflict between the stirrings of our heart versus the chattering monkeys (as my mom likes to call them) in our head continues. There seems to be a feeling of discord, amplified by the pending holiday season and any feelings of stress that may come with it. Our feelings may even seem explosive at times. We may feel like a pressure cooker, ready to blow a whistling stream of hot air in the heat of frustration and unexpected events.

If you can manage to take the high road and avoid all the needless conflict and feelings of angst, you may try to do so by tuning into your feelings of compassion, love and the healing nature that is present in being close to another human being. How truly fortunate most of us are to have so many people who love and care for us, are willing to make deep sacrifices on our behalf and would walk a mile just to see us smile (and, think how many people in your life you would do the same for).

So, it might be that feelings of deep gratitude and love might just hold the miracle we need to take the road less traveled. And if that doesn't do it ~ it might come down to sheer attitude. Some say attitude is everything. Today, I would have to say that is probably true.

At times, it is from the most unexpected corners that we find a sense of peace and calm. I had a new friend request on Facebook from a man named Peter Monday night. I accepted the request and then visited his page. Below is a copy of the words that he had just posted. I hope it will help you as much as it did me. Thanks Peter!!

"Let go of what has passed.
Let go of what may come.
Let go of what is happening right now.

Don't try to figure anything out.
Don't try to make anything happen.
...Relax, right now, and rest."

~Tilopa

Until tomorrow,
Walk your talk, live your truth and open to the living flow of Eternity~

Full Moon Sunday ~ Astrology for Nov. 21, 2010

The Full Moon in Taurus happened in the wee hours of the morning. As I write, the moon has just made its way in versatile and high-wired Gemini (more on that later). Where ever the Full Moon happened in your own astrological natal chart this morning, it asked the question, "Are you satisfied in this area of your life? And if not, why not?"

Taurus is all about security and stability. Every good Taurus has a well-spring of resources from which to rely upon. Resistant to change and erring on the side of caution, these Earth creatures are slow and steady builders. Fiercely loyal, practical and dependable ~ the house that contains this sign in your natal chart will give you clues about balance in a specific area of your life. For me, the Full Moon is in my 6th house of health, daily routines, work, service and training. This Full Moon is a mixed bag for me. So,if you know your natal chart, you can ask yourself, "Have I reached a point of fulfillment? If not, why not?" If the answer is "yes," then it is likely that you have employed the harmonious aspects of Taurus as described above to that given area of your life. If the answer is "no," then it is likely that you have been acting out the shadow energies of Taurus, some of which include: over-indulgence in physical & sensual pleasures, obstinance, materialism, possessiveness, as well as stubborness and stagnation due to do an unwillingness to embrace change.

How can you get back on track then? Try embracing a few of the higher traits of the sign in opposition. After all, the Full Moon appears full only because it is facing off with and in the full light of the Sun. In this case, Scorpio is opposite to Taurus. Scorpio is fixed passion. Think of it sort of like an intense and pyschological energizer bunny, who's task is to eliminiate everything along the path that does not represent Truth. Cutting through the veils of deception and lies are its areas of expertise. So, if you have given into the Taurean seduction of too much of a good thing, then it might be time to let go and do a little shedding ~ cut the fat, so to speak. Eliminate the non-essentials.

As I write, the moon has already taken flight into chatty and versatile Gemini. The Twins are full of curiousity and love to flit about from place to place gathering information and exchanging data. Maybe you'll pick up some interesting ideas today, or share a few of your own. Combined with the continued support from the cosmos for out-of-the-box ideas and fresh new ways of thinking, pure genius is at our finger tips. Gemini is skilled in exercising the mental and intellectual faculties. It can also be known for spinning out of control with too much going on at once...burning the candle at both ends and losing focus...so be sure to write down any novel ideas that come to you in a flash, as you might not remember them tomorrow.

Mercury, the planet that rules Gemini is in danger of going over the top today. Idle gossip could come back and bite you in the behind in more sober times, so watch your tongues today. You know what I mean. Also, it's a good day to make your point ~ and you may feel highly motivated to do so, just keep in mind that the energies of the day make it very easy to go overboard, overshooting the mark, thus invalidating your point and weakening your position.

Last but not least, it's Sunday. Both the Sun (ego) and the Moon (emotions) are squaring off with Neptune (dreams) and Chiron (healing). We may be tempted to lose ourselves in a world of escape, designed to fend off feelings of disillusionment and pain. It's an ongoing theme. We are being asked repeatedly to "wake- up." The world is shifting its consciousnes to a higher level. To do so calls for our full attention, even to matters that seems rather unpleasant. We may be tempted to "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil," but remember, it's nearly impossible to fight off invisible demons. We are being challenged to bring everything out into the Light of day, where we can keep what we need and discard the rest. Not always a pleasant task. Sometimes we just need to take a little break. We all deserve one. I give myself and all of us permission (not that you needed it) to take a much needed "time out" if you prefer. Go to the beach, rent a good movie, turn off your cell phone for the day or socialize with some friends...give yourself a mini vacation, even for just a day. You'll be glad you did.

Until tomorrow,
Dawn Elizabeth

Astrology for Aloha Friday, Nov. 19, 2010

Ah, it's Aloha Friday!
(or as they say on the mainland T.G.I.F)

By the time we are awake this morning, the moon will have left fiery and explosive Aries and entered the more peaceful and serene domain of Taurus. I am certain that we can all use a break. I know I sure can. The last few days have been tough. Tempers flaring, infantile "it's all about me" attitudes and grand displays of in-your-face boldness threatened our sense of equilibrium. Whether you were the perpetrator of such, or found yourself on the receiving end, count your blessings today that the fires have all been extinguished and we are getting a chance to cool down.

Taurus is about being in the here and now and delighting in the physical senses. Not the best day for diets, as self indulgence may be at an all-time high. If you can afford the time and money, this would be a perfect day for a lovely massage, a gourmet meal and a little pampering. Some soulful music may just out you in the mood. I know a hot-tub that has my name on it tomorrow during sunset! It's a chance to find safe and secure ground and be in the present moment. Sense the awe and reverance of Nature. Get back into your body. Words are optional.

That said, Mercury and Mars are like the endless, dynamic duo ~ hanging tight and loosening up our throat chakra, allowing us to communicate whatever needs to come out. So say it! Say it out, write it out or sing it out! Just let it out!

Our emotions align with a higher power around mid-day and our destiny is easy to see. We are able to stand in our power and trust in our feelings, eliminating all that does not ring true. Letting go of whatever feels emotionally uncomfortable is your best gauge. If it feels good, then you are likely on the right track. If you feel anxiety and discord, then it may be time to "surrender," go back to the drawing board and start all over again.

We're receiving solar powered energy, heating us up and inspiring us to link with own authenticity (with the Sun's powerful trines to both Jupiter and Uranus). Innovation and faith can take you wherever you wish to go.

Venus, the relationship planet is finally moving forward again. Any issues that have been unclear or areas that have fallen into inertia, begin to awaken and find direction, especially in regard to our personal relationships, money and values.

Jupiter (faith, optimism, fortune) also joins Venus in forward movement. Whatever has been brewing in the inward caverns of personal inspiration and intent, soon begins to take shape in the physical, more tangible world of form. Only minor adjustments remain, and those lofty and inspired dreams could be coming true before your very eyes. Seeing is believing!

Dreams really do come true!

Until tomorrow ~ walk your talk, live your truth and open to the living flow of eternity ~

Sincerely,
Dawn Elizabeth

Astrology for Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010

Aloha.

Today feels very similar to yesurday, but with a few subtle changes. We have another all day Aries moon to either give us the fuel we need to start new things, be daring and bold ~ or we can easily succomb to the harsher aspects of this sign... namely impatience, anger and aggressiveness.

Don't know about any of you, but I definitely had a few aggressive people in my world yesturday. My own patience level was pushed to the max and I just wanted to take my cell phone and smash it into pieces. My tolerance level was very low. I personally, do not tend to do well with Aries moons for a variety of reasons, but am working on it. Today, I am planning to use the fiery energy of the day to start on a book that I hope to seek publishing for just after the New Year.

Our communications can still be very direct and forceful, but hopefully with a little more tact and diplomacy than seemed possible yesturday. Ideas that are optimistic and adventurous hold the most pull today...as long as you can present yourself in a way that does not arouse conflict in others. We tend to push a lot of people's buttons when the moon is in Aries, or have our buttons pushed. Sometimes all the conscious knowledge of slowing down, remembering to breathe and to be full of gratitude goes straight out the window once someone has "got your goat."

Also today, the moon (feelings) is opposing the planet Saturn (reality, limitations). This could help us to detach from our emotions, but also to feel somewhat cold and reserved, feeling that no one really loves us and wanting to just go be the hermit.

The truth is...most of us have countless people who love us. Sometimes, we just get separated from our own ability to feel. Psychological complexes kick into full gear and our perceptions can become quite warped, indeed. Life gets complicated, things get sticky and someimtes we just need to pull the plug a bit when it comes to expressing or receiving sentiment. Just do what you can with it today...it's probably not as bad as you imagine. In another day or two, all will be revealed.

Don't forget, we're approaching the holiday season. With that may come the stress of extra things to do in what already may be a very busy life. Personally, I find that focusing on gratitude really does go along way for me. Within a few short minutes, I am melting into a feeling of belonging and know that love is everywhere. We are very fortunate in many ways. The old cliche about counting your blessings still applies, even if it is often hard to do in the heat of embroiled and passionate encounters.

Ok, so get out there and make the most of the day. There's still a lot of productive juices flowing in the cosmos and at our disposal. Take some deep breaths and set your positive intention for the day.

With you on the journey and sending you lots of Light,
Dawn Elizabeth

Astrology for Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010

What a difference a day makes! Did you all feel the energy switch from Pisces to Aries yesturday? It would have been felt as a burst of energy and a little extra pep in your step. Today is another all day Aries moon...so get out and seize the day. Watch out for the shadow side of Aries which can be pushy, aggressive, agitated and impatient with others. Ever had a case of road rage or known anyone who has? That's just the kind of irritation we might be more likely to feel with the moon in Aries, particularly when the moon itself is making tough connections to other planets.

Yesturday our mind and feelings were more or less in synch. Today, however, some adjustments may be necessary. Think of it as fine-tuning. We're almost there...just a few more tweeks.

Also, relationships seem very important today, especially after all the conflict over the last several days. We are being urged to compromise ~ find that happy medium. The moon in Aries says "It's all about ME!" Venus (the relationship planet) is quietly contemplative in Libra, who's theme song might go something like this "can't we all just get along?"

Libra is the great balancer and seeks beauty, harmony and peace above all else. We may feel like we're on a great big see-saw today, swinging up and down between our need to be free and independent and our equally important need to be "in relationship" with others. The spirit of compassion, gentleness and healing continue to feature prominently. Again, we are being urged to stay and work things out rather than running away from the issues at hand.

Hang in there. We're really all in this together. Forgiveness of your own foibles, as well as those of others can go a long way in bringing much peace and a sense of comfort today. It is a gift worth giving to yourself and those you care about.

Mars (the fiery planet of Will) is in fusion with the speaking and communication planet Mercury again today. Look for some pretty direct, if not downright forceful dialouge, which could actually border on arguments and verbal explosions. Fortunately, Saturn (the voice of wisdom and caution) is there to help, slowing us down long enough to be highly effective. This would be an excellent day to ask for a raise or communicate something very importnat to someone. Our thinking is clear and direct. This is also a green light day to put your firm, well thought out plans into action.

And, at the risk of repeating myself ~ just a reminder that we are all in a very delicate stage of healing, on an individual as well as a collective level. Many old wounds are coming up for processing, purging and healing ~ ultimately leading to a transformation of Self. We are all somewhat in a coccoon stage, soon to emerge as beautiful butterflies. It's good to see the beauty in all stages, even if you feel like you are scaling and molting off dead layers of skin like a snake. Be gentle with yourselves. We are all human. I heard a great saying recently at the Maui writers conference. I think it was Joe Sugarman who said, be human ~ but not too human. In other words, it's okay to be who you are and express your feelings and thoughts, just don't take it so far over the top that you lose credibility. I agree with this to a point. Of course, I am one who often wheres my heart blatently on my sleeve, and I can attest that it gets me into a fair amount of trouble with those who are more confortable with cool and reserved temperaments. That said, atleast it is authentic.

In any case, be yourself. You'll love "you" better for it. Just keep walking your talk and you can't go wrong. Keep your intentions clear and watch for the manifestation of that intent in real time. It's just the way it works.

Until tomorrow, live your truth, walk you talk and dare to engage the mystery...

Sincerely,
Dawn Elizabeth

Astrology for Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010

The moon will remain in Pisces for the first part of the day ~ moving into the sign of the warrior, the daredevil and pioneer an hour or so after lunch. Yes, it's like a refreshing bucket of water dumped over your head, urging you that it's time to get out of the clouds and spring back into action. With the moon in Aries, we feel more motivated, but also possibly more agitated. Aries is like an exploding fountain of flames and is ready to leap into unknown adventure, often without thinking about the possible reprecussions (did I spell that right??).

Today, however, the moon is making harmonious connections, particularly to Jupiter (faith, optimism, abundance) and Uranus (newness, freedom, breaking the mold). It is a great day to try out new things. Feelings will be expanded. That is neither good nor bad, it just means that with moon/Jupiter connections, everything feels "bigger."

We also get a better sense today of our our ego (Sun) and our emotions (Moon) working together ~ with eachother rather than against eachother. We're more happy today, feeling a sense of continuity with all of our separate "parts."

Deep healing is still a major theme and will be in the next weeks to come. Take advantage of this time by simply "witnessing" yourself. What can you learn from your actions and emotions? With the Sun still in the sign of the transformer (Scorpio, that is), this is the opportune time to lay old tired ways of relating to rest. Whatever "old stuff" you are carrying around, whatever out-dated modes of behavior and pre-conditioned responses you are still playing out as a means of self-protection from previous hurts, guilt and shame ~ well, it's time to let 'em go. The breath of fresh air that follows can propel you into a new and better life. As one door shuts, another inevitably opens. Isn't it time we allow ourselves the chance to "walk through to the other side?" Use the courageous nature of the moon in Aries to move forward, even in the face of fear and conquer your dreams!

Today gets a green light for anything new we are willing to try, for new innovations, expansive thinking and taking action on your desires!

Go for it!

Astrology for Monday, Nov. 15, 2010

It's another all day Pisces Moon. We could certainly use a good dose of compassion today, and so might look to the higher expressions of the Fishes to take us there. Escape will certainly feature, as the moon makes many uncomfortable and cranky connections to several other planets today.

Recall that the moon is the direct link to our emotions ~ the way we feel. Have you ever heard the expression, "Her moods change like the changing of the tides?" Well, of course that expression has more than a grain of truth to it. And today, we may "feel" like unplugging, being in our own world, daydreaming, enging the world of the imagination and the arts. Problem is ~ our own emotional needs come as a package deal with our need to communicate and relate with others, not to mention our ego needs and our thoughts and lofty desires and about moving forward and getting ahead. So, it's quite a balance today. One that could leave you screaming, "Calgon, take me away!" (Does anyone remember that commercial?)

Venus (love, relationships) is still in a sort of review, trying to achieve balance and harmony. She is discovering that without a link to a higher love, the more rooted earthly love can get pretty tough, pretty demanding ~ tapping into our deepest wounds and vulnerabilities.

We are being challenged today to deal with those vulnerabilities. We all have sensitivities. We have all been wounded, psychologically or otherwise at some point in our lives. So, we are human. Having compassion for ourselves and others can soften the blow tremendously.

So today, it is worth considering how you might be able to surrender to Divine love, compassion and healing. Once tapped into the possibilities, we are released somehow, into a more brighter and optimistic panorama of open doors and new sacred spaces within our hearts and that vast, mysterious Universe that lies within us.

We are still being supported to be highly motivated and productive in areas that feel exciting to us. So, rather than escape into a world of self-pity, complaints about your life or your love ~ sink into your favorite project and see what new levels you can reach today.

Think about doing some crafts, some art of some kind. What did you enjoy when you were a child? Try injecting a healthy does of playfulness into your day. And, be the dreamer. As I have always said, sometimes we gotta have our head in the clouds to figure out what it is we want to see in front of us here on Earth. Makes perfect sense.

Enjoy your day and check in tomorrow for your Tuesday report.

Aloha my friends..

Until tomorrow,
Dawn Elizabeth

Cosmic Weather for Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010

While we slept, the moon moved into ethereal Pisces ~ the sign of the dreamer, the poet, the mystic. This is also all about compassion ~ for others of course, but also for yourself. Whatever deep truths the Scorpio Sun has been revealing to you over the last few weeks is now up for healing through gentleness, nurturing and good self-care.

We continue to get encouragement for healing at the deepest levels, going all the way back to the beginning of our little lives. If you believe in prayer, or even the power of positive intention, sincere support is available through the mystical and metaphysical realms. There is no longer a shadow of doubt really, that everything is metaphysical. Tap into that today. Pisces loves the water, the ocean. If you can make it to your favorite beach today and take a little dip, you might be surprised what shining diamonds may ceome to you. The same thing can be achieved in a nice relaxing bath ~ in a bountiful tub of water. Light some candles, put on some soft mood music and allow yourself to sink into an altered state of being ~ into that place where mermaids, fairies and angels live. (yes, I know it might sound a little over the top for some of you ~ but this is Pisces ~Neptune territory we're talking about. Use your imagination).

Escape into the great mytery. Have a question? Sit out in front of the sea today, or even God. I promise she will speak to you, if you are willing to listen.

Of course, with the Sun (our ego) squaring off with Neptune (dissolving of ego), it could feel like of battle ~ a battle that begs for escape. Great dreams can be manifested under this challenging aspect. So, too, can escape into drugs, alcohol or other mind altering substances. The key really is, that sometimes we all feel the need to "escape the cold cruel world," ~ or~ on a more positive note, just go into fairy-tale land, that place of dreams, where the power of our imagination can take us anywhere we wish to go. A great movie can take you there, so can reading one of those rag mags, full of fantasy and glitz... Listening to great and powerful music can transcend us into a myriad of possibilities ~ leaving us feeling hopeful, inspired and human.

Verbal communications may not run so smoothly today, due to some uncomfortable connections between the moon (our emotions) and Mercury (our thoughts). That said, Mars (motivation, will, desire) is holding hands with Mercury today, providing the necessary fuel to say whatever needs to be said. It may not be pretty, and it could feel a little sticky emotionally, but if you've got something to say ~ today is the day to do it. We are also being supported to do all this with compassion and higher love. It always feels better to reach for that higher, more divine and pure love. When we are able to speak from a place of compassion, our message can be more clearly heard and understood, without the fall out of guilt and shame that comes with non-compassionate communication.

With Venus and Mars still giving eachother a bit of the cold shoulder, relationships could be the arena for explosive communications. On the other hand, there are other beautiful connections to Venus going on here that can soften the blow and also bring much healing and understanding.

Seems like the transformational energies of Scorpio, combined with the imaginative powers of Pisces should help us to create a little alchemy through it all. You know, transmutation. Create your circumstances. Create your life. The planets only provide us with a backdrop of possibilities ~ the rest is up to us.

Brilliant ideas are on tap today, so be sure to tune into the flashes of insight and inspired optimism that can come our way, courtesy of some magical connections between the Sun (our identity) and Jupiter (faith, abundance) and Uranus (the unexpected, the cosmic mind). Intuition is at an all time high. We are somewhat like psychic sponges today, soaking up on all the energies that surround us, so choose carefully.

Remember ~ alchemy.

Until tomorrow,

The Tone of the Day

Aloha on this lovely Saturday!

It's an all day Aquarius Moon. The Waterbearer is the archetype of the freedom fighter, the revolutionary, rebel and sage. You may find quite an independent steak running through today, especially in relationships, as Venus (love, beauty, values, feminine energy) is in disharmony with Mars (desire, will, masculine energy) and also Uranus (freedom, unexpected, shocking).

Venus has also recently taken a retrograde journey back into Libra, hoping to find introspective signs of how to achieve balance and harmony in our relationhips with others, as well as finding that same balance with our own relationship to our finances and values ~ not just our outer material weath and resources, but also our inner reflective values and sense of self worth and beauty.

While our male/female relationships may take a hit today, it may be so that we can focus on our higher, sacred and more ethereal relationship to Great Spirit, God, the Divine ~ however it is that you name it. This is a time of great emotional healing and we are getting help from the angelic realms today. The power of prayer and intention is at an all time high! If you can imagine it, you can realize it. A feeling of idealistic brotherhood and equal rights for all ~ you know, the Age of Aquarius...permeates the flow. (For you astrology buffs, this is courtesy of the Moon, Neptune and Chiron conjunct in Aquarius today and trining Venus).

We are also being challenged to come to terms with the struggle between our mind, thoughts and ego energies and the desires of our emotional field, soul realm and well being. This is called the waxing lunar square. It's all about conflict and challenges brought about to stimulate growth and/or tangible change. Whatever you started, tried to start or intended to start during the New Moon in Scorpio last week, you are being put to the test today. If you can't make it happen, what is standing in the way? Very likely, it is a conflict between your ego needs and your emotional needs. What will it take to solve this problem? Today we are being given space to find solutions, albeit in a rather uncomfortable sort of way.

Pluto (powerful transformation through surrender and truth) is still holding steady with the North Nodal point of destiny, suggesting that, especially during this Scorpio season, we are being called to bring truth to our highest good and surrender all that is not aligned on that path. Simply put, this is HUGE time of claiming our personal power.

If you were a super hero, now is the time to don your tights and cape! What kind of hero do you want to be?

Last, but not least, our friend Saturn (discipline, reality, tradition) is getting some exciting light from the Sun in Scorpio (shining light on truth and change). This can be a highly productive day to plan your work and work your plan.

The Aquarius moon gives us the ability to be social if we feel so inclined, or to march to the beat of our own drummer and take the road less traveled. It's up to you to choose. Aquarius is perfectly content to dawdle on the eccentric fringes of life, with a tendency toward aloofness and a fiercely powerful independent streak that calls for personal freedom to be orignal beyond all else!

Dreams are made possible now. Get your intentions clear. Position your arrow to the target of your desire ~ and prepare to aim!

Until next time,
Dawn Elizabeth

Scorpionic Inquiries

Aloha Friends,

It's been a while. After taking quite a long and introspective break of my own, I feel inspired to pick up where I left off. I have been writing, writing, writing ~ but more as a self inquiry. So much to tell, so much I have learned through taking the time to re-stock my own well ~ learning to let go of things, possessions, committments that no longer serve my serve true purpose. Yet, those are all goodies of insight for another day.

I miss writing to those of you who enjoy reading these astrologically-based musings.

Tis the season to question all that is, all that ever was and all that is yet to come. Through nothing less than a complete purging of all that does not represent truth, we are giving our coin to the boatman and taking a fateful journey into our own destination.

What nuggets of gold will we re-discover as we dust off the tarnish of indescretion, guilt and shame that suffocate our starving Soul's....begging for liberation from all that does not represent truth.

I love that scene in the Lion King where adolescent Simba is led on a soulful journey of truth by Scorpionic Shaman, Rafiki. Simba believes that he is going to meet his father, Mufasa, who has long since departed his physical presence on Earth through his untimely death, early in Simba's life as a young, innocent lion cub.

Rafiki leads Simba to a pool of water. "Look, you will find him here." Simba looks and looks ~ and in disappointment and shame, he lowers his head and says, "All I see if my own reflection."

"Look harder," begs Rafiki, as he swirls his magic stick and presses Simba on into the jouney.

At that point, Simba's father appears as an image in the comsos. He tells his son, "You have forgotten who you are. You are the one true King." Several passages of dialouge continue. The closing phrase is something like...

"Remember who you are."

As Simba begs his father not to leave him again, the door to his guilt, shame and pain begin to close ~ and the doors to his true identity begin to open. The journey continues...

Remember who you are!

How many layers of unwanted, old stuffy garments are you suffocating under? How can you breathe life into the forgotten caverns of your Soul? How can you be true to yourselves, while still finding compassion for others? The truth is never to ugly to reveal...and only vampires and demons hide out in the dark. Exposure to the light brings healing and liberation.

It's a tall order, indeed. But it is one that I feel is necessary and requires our full attention! Our very sense of happiness, content and joy depend it.

I have been working the Artist's Way for close to 2 years now...and have recently begun the Vein of Gold. Both books are by Julia Cameron. Julia is an amazing writer and brilliant teacher, possibly the best I've encountered. Both books are an amazing and intimate way to begin to dig yourself out of the hole you may find yourself in. Both books require a 12-week committment to working through the readings and task work involved...but the pay-off is exponential!

And, if "digging yourself out of a hole" sounds like a dramatic and over-the-top analogy," ask yourself this: Am I happy in with my life ~ my relationships? my line of work? my health? my spirituality? romance? creativity? prosperity?

If not, why not? Who or what might be standing in the way?

Astrology is another great tool of self discovery, as your soul's content and longing is spelled out in your natal chart. It's kind of like a self-help manual of who you really are, in case you've forgotten ~ or in case others have repeatedly tried to convince you that you are something other than who you really are. Astrology is a powerful tool. In my opinion, the benefits of a good reading with a good practicioner are unrivaled by any other field of study. Of course, you can contact me at dawnelizabeth.ma@gmail.com if you would like a reading and catalyst to your personal truth.

*******************************************************************************************

So, in these last few weeks of the grand inquisition, presented Scorpio style, I challenge you to find out. Who are you? What are your inner-most desires? What do you long for? What do you want from this life?

Recall that Scorpio is the shaman, the detective, the natural psychologist ~ aimed at cutting and penetrating through even the thickest veils of deception, with finely sharpened knives ~ to reveal the deepest of Truths.

If you already have it all figured out ~ then great! Use this high powered time to fix your passion on a few particular pursuits and make it happen.

For many of us, it will be a combination of both. I believe that there are truly few of us who are not still operating under the misconceptions spoon fed into our pysches since birth. It doesn't mean that we are forever injured or rendered incapable of living our full potential. It is a reason to engage a higher level of consciousness ~ to become self-acuatulized.

To me, there is little work as important as becomming truly self-actualized. And, how lucky we are that our basic comforts are available that we can focus so much time on such a higher path. Gratitude is so important. If you are privileged enough to have a comnputer and have the time to read this blog, then I feel certain that you have already chosen to ride on a higher path.

So then, this is is a time of letting go. A time to gracefully surrender all that is not aligned on your true path. I don't purport that this is an easy task, but I can attest that it is one that is well worth the effort.

And, in a few weeks, when the Sun moves into happy-go-lucky Sagittarius, we will all feel much lighter, brighter and optimistic! I promise!

With much aloha,
Dawn Elizabeth
