The Sagittarius Sun burns ever so brilliantly, shining light back on our sense of faith, philosophy and good fortune. We sure will need it, too ~ since today, the Gemini Moon makes many uncomfortable and tense connections with several planets. And sometime around dinner, the moon will swim into moody Cancer, where it will remain for the next two and a half days. Cancer is the sign of the mother, nurturer, healer and caretaker. The shadow side of the Crab is full of worry, insecurity and emotional dependency, to name a few (more on that tomorrow). The choice is always ours.
To begin with, the conflict between the stirrings of our heart versus the chattering monkeys (as my mom likes to call them) in our head continues. There seems to be a feeling of discord, amplified by the pending holiday season and any feelings of stress that may come with it. Our feelings may even seem explosive at times. We may feel like a pressure cooker, ready to blow a whistling stream of hot air in the heat of frustration and unexpected events.
If you can manage to take the high road and avoid all the needless conflict and feelings of angst, you may try to do so by tuning into your feelings of compassion, love and the healing nature that is present in being close to another human being. How truly fortunate most of us are to have so many people who love and care for us, are willing to make deep sacrifices on our behalf and would walk a mile just to see us smile (and, think how many people in your life you would do the same for).
So, it might be that feelings of deep gratitude and love might just hold the miracle we need to take the road less traveled. And if that doesn't do it ~ it might come down to sheer attitude. Some say attitude is everything. Today, I would have to say that is probably true.
At times, it is from the most unexpected corners that we find a sense of peace and calm. I had a new friend request on Facebook from a man named Peter Monday night. I accepted the request and then visited his page. Below is a copy of the words that he had just posted. I hope it will help you as much as it did me. Thanks Peter!!
"Let go of what has passed.
Let go of what may come.
Let go of what is happening right now.
Don't try to figure anything out.
Don't try to make anything happen.
...Relax, right now, and rest."
~Tilopa
Until tomorrow,
Walk your talk, live your truth and open to the living flow of Eternity~
